I literally can't believe it's November. Freaking crazy, ridiculous stuff!!! I cannot wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas now that Halloween is over, so let's get rid of those months and get on to the good ones!

Favorite Pictures: August

Seriously, I CANNOT BELIEVE AUGUST IS OVER. I know. It's September next Thursday and I'm kind of not ready. Summer is finished, but on a brighter note I am one month closer to graduation. I thoroughly enjoy the end of the month because of my favorites: pictures and then of course my favorite products video (which is already filmed and edited, just waiting to upload!) August was a really exciting month. Lots of fun firsts and happy memories.

Courtney & I as Santana & Rachel, respectively
The Girls before Glee Live 3D at Midnight: Nicole (Quinn), Alyssa (Emma), Me, & Court

Sick Day!

After a long restless night, I woke up feeling really crappy. Just headachy, stomachy, flu-ish, and so exhausted. I drove my Daddy to pick up his client's truck at a resort, then went back home. I got in comfy clothes and Boy came over with a French Vanilla Latte and popsicles (my cure all). The day was full of cozy time and my favorite things:

Brighter than the Sun

Hi everyone! Following a question on tumblr as to why I don't blog as much, I kind of really miss it. This has always been my space and I love that. I've never had to be someone I'm not for readers to read. I'm really excited about a few things in my life right now. As I'm not quite ready to share all the wonderful details, QUITE yet, I wanted to give you a taste of what's going on right now.

I started a new block on Tuesday with a brand new teacher!! It's International Patisserie, Cake Formula and Assembly! This is where the real fun begins and I'll begin to really get a taste for what I want to spend the rest of my life doing.

We've already made the most wonderful Chocolate Souffles that were to die for. This picture above is a little bit after they deflated (and right before I demolished them with a fork.) Come on, I had to, souffles are best in the first 10 minutes after coming out of the oven. We also made Crepes Suzette. I have never had a crepe in my life (surprise, surprise) and I probably won't have another. They were surprisingly easy to make, but taste wise, just not for me. I did get to FLAMBE, like really light a pan on fire...seriously, it was the coolest thing ever.

Also on Monday, I started my new job working at Express, the clothing store, and I'm beyond excited for that. Our orientation/training was so much fun and I really like my manager. I can already tell I'm going to have a lot of fun, plus the discount isn't so bad either. ;)

Okay, okay, there is one more new thing that's probably even more crazy exciting than both of those other things combined! I want to literally spill all the details here, but I will show some self restraint. In the past I've struggled with keeping my private life, well private. My blog is like my diary, that people just like to read... haha. If you do know what I'm talking about, consider yourself lucky. I can count on one hand the number of people that know.

Yes, that will be changing very soon as everything will most likely be finalized within the next few weeks. Finalized isn't a good word, but can you blame me for trying to keep an air of mystery around this place?! As I lay in bed at almost 4 am, I'm so giddy with excitement and happiness. On that note, it's way too late to be awake, especially when I have school in the morning. Goodnight from me and Princess. ;)xx

Letting go.

This post has been mentally in the making for weeks, maybe even months. I know my blog is definitely not a super personal place for me anymore, but sometimes, like now I need to vent. I've allowed my life to revolve around one singular event, one night, a few words I never wanted to hear, for the past six months.

I wish I didn't keep going back to that night and replaying the days and weeks prior. I've been trying to put the pieces together and see the signs. I can't and it's so hard for me. It's also made it difficult for me to move on and grow from it. I'm probably the queen of what if's. Every situation has about a million applicable what if's and this one probably has about five billion or so. I've sat around, wishing and waiting because seriously, what if he changed his mind.

I don't like messy things. I like nice, neat endings tied up in a pretty bow. This was the furthest thing from it. We left it in a weird place. He was my best friend. He knew everything about me. My flaws, my dreams, my family, my weird quirks. We talked everyday and then that became less frequent especially after he moved. It became a secret thing like nobody could know we were still close. It didn't bother me at first, but eventually it ate away at me. I analyzed every word he posted on facebook or twitter and especially when he wouldn't reply to texts. He still said I love you, but it became clear that is was solely out of habit and that hurt. I spent way too many days, afternoons, nights just crying.

I fell apart, but in the past week, I've started to put the pieces of me back together. I stopped over analyzing, I stopped checking facebook, I stopped thinking about the what if's. I can't tie up the loose ends or make it easy and simple. It never will be, so I'm leaving it at that. I'm better off. I can breathe and I will move on and I am letting go.

True love Thursday!

I've been fresh out of blog posts to be honest, so any suggestions or things you want me to blog about, let me know in the comments! After what has been a very long week, I wanted to unwind by sharing some of the things keeping me sane these days and of course the cutesy things I've been lusting after!

The Royal Wedding: William & Kate
Yes, I'm one of the millions around the world counting down and obsessing over the Royal Wedding of William and Kate. I will be up streaming it on my Macbook because I happen to be totally fascinated by every detail of it. I think Kate is extremely gorgeous and I'm so excited to see how everything comes together after months and months of hype.
Coke
If you know me well enough, you know I'm a Coke girl. I love water, but when I'm at dinner I drink Coke. This week I've found myself craving every moment of sleep I can get, but it hasn't been enough. For the past four days, I've dished out a dollar every morning at school for a Coke at the cafe.
Cheap Addiction.

Baseball Season
I'm not a complete baseball nut, but it is my favorite sport to watch by far. I'm a NY Mets girl, born and raised. Sadly, I never had the opportunity to see them play at Shea Stadium before moving to Arizona, so I settle for D-Backs games at Chase Field as often as I can. Sunday, we went to see the D-Backs play the Reds for an afternoon game.

A+ Chocolate Chip Cookies
Enough said. I made these for my practical on Tuesday and got 100%. They were a cure all whenever I felt down this week.

Mad Men
I started rewatching this series on SideReel and have fallen in love all over again. Highly recommend!

Kate Spade - "mom always said" Idiom Bangle
I think I saw this on Tumblr and totally added it to my birthday wishlist because it is seriously so precious. I love all the little sayings because it reminds me of my mom!

Little emails
This one is by far my favorite, therefore I saved it for last. I can't remember when, but this girl started following me on tumblr and I naturally followed back because she had a presh preppy blog that resembled mine. Sometime between then and now, she became my little sister. Caroline and I have never met, but we email regularly and obviously talk on tumblr.  I love sending long emails to her and I look forward to each and every reply back! She is one of the most wonderful people I've ever became close with via Tumblr and the internet in general. I love being her listening ear and being able to email her for a quick cheer up or a venting. She's wise beyond her years, only my brother's age, it's crazy. I'm so lucky and happy to have found her and become so close. I thank God for her everyday. :) She is so strong and such a beautiful person. I admire her so much. I know she's reading this, so, "I love you Little. You're the real deal, lemon peel."
Have a great Thursday lovelies and THANK GOODNESS it's Friday tomorrow!!
