Crazy about Colors

Working retail has really opened my eyes up to brand new trends once found only on the runways of New York and Paris. In the past few months I've learned to be more daring with my outfit choices while still keeping with my preppy flare. One of the coolest trends that I didn't take much advantage of this summer has completely transitioned into the fall: BRIGHTS!! For the past few weeks the store I work in has been getting in the craziest, most fun brightly colored jeans that I've been dying over.

Colored denim is one of the coolest fall trends currently and it's everywhere. (Here, here, here, and here, just in case you didn't believe me.) Fall brings colored denim to skinny jeans and jean leggings perfect for tucking into your favorite boots. Also it's a great opportunity to heat up your wardrobe this winter with bright gorgeous colors.

How to Wear: If you look at the pictures above, it's obvious that this pop of color on bottom should be balanced with neutrals: black, beige, ivory on top. Neutral colored patterns can also be worn without looking too much. I'm excited to wear my colored jeans with a black or gray blazer and pumps to dress them up or even a plain white t-shirt to dress them down. (Check out my Fashion/Beauty Pinterest board for new ideas, I'm constantly pinning new ways to wear colored jeans!)

Wednesday Wants

1. Taylor's whole look from the bright sunglasses to the oversized Wildfox sweatshirt. I will be emulating this everyday this fall (or whatever this in between season is called here in Arizona!)

2. Essie's Fall Collection called Brand New Bag centered around gorgeous fall accessories. These happen to be my three favorite shades (Lady Like, Carry On, & Power Clutch) in this perfectly autumn collection. I found these swatches at Carly Cristman's blog post here.

3. My own kitchen please. I am so beyond ready to have my own space in my own place. This is my dream kitchen, but any one will do. (Found at weheartit.com)

4. NYX Soft Makeup Artist Train Case - I've watched way too many videos with this train case as the star. (Okay maybe just this video here and this one here way too many TIMES!) I want it SO SO SO bad for my upcoming trips. You bet your sweet cakes I'll be picking it up to have as one of my carry on's. (Sorry laptop)

5. Oh goodness, speaking of my laptop I saw this case at American Eagle Outfitters the other day and almost almost ALMOST bought it because it's so perfectly me. I paint my nails constantly and 98% of the time I paint them right on my laptop keyboard. (And then subsequently spill on my laptop keyboard) It was so precious.

6. First saw this wallet on tumblr, reblogged it, found it on Fredflare.com and now I want it. This all happened in a matter of like 15 minutes. So cute.

7. Selena Gomez at the Teen Choice Awards. Her dress, her boytoy (who can beat the Biebz), and her makeup. Oh her wonderful makeup can be found here on Beautylish. I bought the palette and the quad that was used on her and I'm SO pleased.

8. Laura Geller Baked & Beautiful Kit containing a bunch of wonderful starter LG products! I've heard so many rave reviews about the Laura Geller Blush N Brighten found in a recent Birchbox from Ingrid (Missglamorazzi), Jayme & Mendi (HerLateNightCravings), Fleur (Fleurdeforce), and a few others. I'm really interested in diving head first into the LG products and this Ulta set is the perfect way!

What are you wanting this Wednesday, loves? Let me know in the comments!

Kisses and warm wishes,

I want to be in Paris in the fall, but that want is not quite the possibility right now, so I'm settling for bringing Paris to me in the form of wonderful fashion. Thank you Gossip Girl and your WONDERFUL costume coordinators.

It's all so glamourous and wonderfully chic. I'm loving the blazer over the feminine dress, especially this one:
or maybe this one:

Paired with these, possibly:
Diane Von Furstenburg
actually, DEFINITELY, if I could of course.

I also wanted to share a little secret that may come off tacky, but I think is actually totally smart and perfect for plenty of occasions where you're looking for JUST the perfect outfit. It's called Rent The Runway and that's literally what you're doing. The site boasts the phrase, "love, wear, return," for those of us who want to dress like Serena and Blair, but just don't have that cash in our clutch. Have I tried it before? No. I saw the ad on the CW online and read lots of really reputable reviews. Will I try it for my next event? Probably. These dresses are gorgeous, but $900 is a little out of my price range for a one night thing. If you've used it or heard of it, let me know.

Also, keep following. The giveaway is coming at 25 followers, I've got 11 right now! Keep it up guys, just click that little button!! Yay. Happy Wednesday, especially for me. The girls won our second regionals match 7-2 and we've got another tomorrow! Fingers CROSSED!

Nightie night. :)

Shoes!

I'm excited for a brand new week. Yesterday was quite relaxing besides the issues with my poor old Bberry that needs 463 updates and a brand new battery. Stupid phone. I finally got time with Trey and to watch the dramatic conclusion of this season's Real Housewives of New Jersey. I also splurged on a pair of Toms FINALLY and I'm obsessed because they're so perfect for me.
(and of course my baby boo is in the picture with his new haircut)
I also got a $6 pair of white Keds from Target that I'm definitely going to decorate today because I've been waiting to DIY a pair of white sneakers for awhile now. I'll post a picture when I'm done! Other than that, nothing else is really new I guess. I got to see my best friend, Alex, this weekend when he came home from California and really catch up and boy have I missed him here. He helped me get everything off my chest and we talked a lot about Home Sweet Home Cupcakes, which I love talking about. I'm really scared to out do myself with baking this month because of how many big 50+ cupcake projects I have to do in the next few weeks.
(Me and Alex before the Glee concert!)
Also, my room should be done in the next few weeks too! So exciting. I chose a new bedding set, so you'll have to wait and see when it comes in THIS WEEK. Eep. :) The girls have only one game this week, which is an away game today and I'm always really excited to see them.

Since I can't find any cute white sneaker DIYs for you, I found these awesome ballet flats that look very much for spring, but seriously would pair nicely with a cardi and skinnies for the fall!! Check it out.

Have a good Tuesday and rest of your 4 day week. Yes yes yes and follow please!
